Recycle and disposal service

This service organises the collection and refurbishment of suitable surplus IT equipment including desktops, laptops, tablets and printers. This service includes a complete physical cleanse, secure data wiping, extensive testing and a re-image (where applicable) before being re-deployed.

Features

  • Collection of redundant IT equipment from across the University and outlying sites
  • Includes (but is not limited to) desktops, servers, laptops, tablets, hard drives, network switches, keyboards and mice, network cables and power cables etc
  • Evaluating the option to re-use equipment where possible
  • Disposing of unsuitable equipment via the University’s approved recycling provider
  • On-site destruction of sensitive data is also provided upon request

Eligibility

All members of University staff and students are eligible to use this service.

Service Level Agreement (SLA)

We aim to respond to service requests within one working day and to resolve your query/request within ten working days. If your request is considered to be a priority when triaged by our IT Support Centre, the response time will be adjusted accordingly.

This service is available 9am – 5pm, Monday to Friday.
