Walk-up IT support

Visit one of the walk-up IT support desks for face to face practical advice. No appointment necessary.

Main Library

  • Building 55 on the campus map
  • Ground floor, Blue area.
  • Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm.

Joule Library, Sackville Building

  • Building 1 on the campus map
  • Library entrance is on the E floor
  • Use the entrance on Granby Row
  • Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm

Alan Gilbert Learning Commons (AGLC)

The Alan Gilbert Learning Commons will be closed for deep cleaning and maintenance from Monday, 30 July to Sunday, 12 August.

Opening hours will be extended at the Main Library during this period, and extra study spaces will be available. Please ask a member of Library staff if you need any help.

  • Saturday and Sunday, 9am to 5pm

Kilburn Building IT Support Centre

  • Building 39 on the campus map
  • Follow the IT Support Centre signs on the ground floor
  • Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm

Support provided

All walk-up support desks will help with IT account queries, connecting laptops, smartphones and tablets to email, eduroam Wi-Fi and Virtual Private Network (VPN).

The Kilburn Building IT Support Centre helps staff and students, helping with all University supported services, full support for University owned IT equipment, and the issue of Duo 2-factor authentication key fobs. Support for personal equipment is advice only.

The Library and AGLC support desk helps students with University licensed applications (including Microsoft Office 365), Library/AGLC PC cluster support, and advice on software setup, troubleshooting, virus removal and general IT guidance.
