IT equipment reuse and recycling

IT Services collects, refurbishes, and redeploys surplus IT equipment across the University. Where reuse isn’t possible, we arrange for safe and sustainable disposal. Importantly, our recycling partner guarantees that zero waste is sent to landfill.

All data on devices is securely erased in compliance with GDPR standards, giving you complete confidence that sensitive information is protected throughout the recycling process.

What can be recycled?

Any University owned IT-related equipment can be disposed of through our service, including:

  • Laptops and desktop computers
  • Monitors
  • Mobile phones
  • Keyboards and mice
  • Docking stations
  • iPads and tablets

Returning IT equipment

Please don’t leave unwanted IT equipment gathering dust in drawers or cupboards. By returning it to IT Services, we can redeploy devices to colleagues who need them or pass them on to charities, via our partner, that will benefit from the donation.
