Going abroad

If you are travelling internationally for work and need to keep in touch with colleagues, the University mobile contract business roaming and international calling solutions covers a wide range of business needs.

The University has a shared data tariff, providing a pooled data allowance across all University contracts. This data is not unlimited and covers both UK and International usage for all staff. It must be used solely for legitimate University-related activities.

Mobile usage while abroad

The Vodafone contract has awareness messages set up for updates on data volume usage. If you use a high volume of data you may receive these messages for your information. Please be aware that we have a 30GB of data cut off limit and you will receive awareness messages before this limit is reached. If you do reach this limit, please raise a ticket on the Mobile Phone Request Form – General Mobile Advice and provide the reason and approval for any additional costs incurred: Connect Portal
