A Virtual Private Network (VPN) is a secure connection that allows your computer to access the University network when you are using wireless connections, or not on campus.
Note: Wired ethernet connections in university-owned halls of residence are connected to the University network, so you will not need to use VPN if using one of those.

Please note, Android based mobile devices will not be able to connect to the University's Virtual Private Network.
The Cisco AnyConnect client only works with servers which support AnyConnect clients. The University of Manchester's VPN server is incompatible.
