AppsAnywhere

Access software on cluster PCs

AppsAnywhere enables you to access teaching and learning software applications from cluster PCs across campus. It functions like an 'app store' where you can browse all available software applications, whether streamed, or installed locally on cluster PCs.

What software is available and where?

All IT Services-supported teaching and learning software applications are available to use via AppsAnywhere, and more than 100 of these are available to stream from any PC cluster on campus, with more to follow.

Our software applications catalogue shows which applications can currently be streamed via AppsAnywhere across all PC clusters, and which can only be accessed in specific PC clusters.

How to access AppsAnywhere

Follow these five simple steps:

  1. Log in: AppsAnywhere should load when you login to the cluster PC. But if it doesn't, click on the AppsAnywhere desktop icon.
  2. Search for your application: The easiest way is to use the search bar. You can save applications as ‘favourites’ for quick access later.
  3. Click 'launch': Click the blue ‘launch’ button, and the application should load automatically. If the application is greyed out or unavailable, visit the support page.
  4. Use the application as normal: Your application should load and be ready to use in a few moments. Be aware it may load in the background.
  5. Click 'Get Help' to get support: If you need some help or can’t launch or find the application you are looking for, click the ‘Get Help’ icon and visit the support page.
