Computers funded by IT Services

All staff & postgraduate researchers are entitled to one computer.

If you have no University computer (or are requesting one for a new starter) you can request a computer from either the standard or the higher specification catalogue.

If you have an existing University computer it will need to be assessed to see if it is still fit for purpose before we consider replacing it. Please raise an incident ticket in Connect:

If you are requesting a device to be part-funded from an account code starting with R or P you will need to attach written approval to use the budget for this purpose from your Research Finance Team.

Once your request is a logged, a University IT colleague will be in touch to discuss it with you within 2 working days.

We aim to ensure that at least 90% of approved catalogue items are ready for configuration and collection or delivery within 5 working days (8 working days if Ubuntu is installed).
