Application packaging

This service facilitates the packaging of application software in order for it to be easily installed to University managed devices.


  • Simplifying the installation and uninstallation procedures
  • Enabler for self-service installs through the software distribution service where an application has been packaged
  • Reduces resource overhead through consistent, repeatable and automated deployment mechanisms
  • Enables teaching, learning and research through deployment to PC clusters


All members of University staff and students are eligible to use this service.

Service Level Agreement (SLA)

We aim to respond to service requests within one working day and to resolve your query/request within ten working days. If your request is considered to be a priority when triaged by our IT Support Centre, the response time will be adjusted accordingly.


This service is available 24/7 except for planned maintenance and unplanned issues on campus.
