Shrew Soft client for 64-bit Operating Systems
The 64-bit version of the Cisco VPN client is not compatible with Windows XP or Linux. There is, however, an alternate client from Shrew Soft that is 64-bit capable and is available for both Windows (XP/Vista/Windows 7) & Linux/BSD. This has been tested in-house and a profile developed that is known to work with our VPN concentrator.
It should be noted, however, that this is a completely unsupported service - University IT service desks cannot provide assistance in further troubleshooting. This software should only be used on 64-bit operating systems, where the Cisco client is not compatible. In all other cases, the appropriate Cisco client should be used.
Installing this VPN software requires you to download both the software and the accompanying profile.
NOTE - if you downloaded the profile prior to 29th April 2010, you may have problems accessing certain websites. Please download the profile again, delete the existing profile from the client Access Manager and then re-import.
