Subscribing to the Service Notification System
When a notice is posted, the system sends out an email alert to the IT-SERVICE-ALERT mailing list.
To receive email alerts, either:

RSS 2.0 News Channel
The Service Notification System supports Rich Site Summary (RSS) version 2.0.
RSS enables postings to be read in a summarised format using an RSS aggregator. Web site administrators can pick up the RSS summary from SNS and present it as embedded content on their own web sites.
The link to the RSS feed can be found under the RSS 2.0 icon on the SNS web pages. Your RSS aggregator help files should contain instructions for subscribing to news channels.

Some web browsers, for example Firefox, support 'live bookmarks' that update themselves automatically with the latest SNS news.
