New and transferring to contract

Our current service provider is Vodafone Corporate

New contract

New customers have two tariffs to choose from, and can select the data allowance that best fits their needs. The data allowance can be increased if you need to.

  • Inclusive tariff – includes calls and texts, and there is both a 30 day rolling contract.
  • Mobile Broadband tariff – for data only devices.

All contracts include ‘Vodafone Public Sector Business Traveller’ which offers discounted rates when roaming.

Please refer to the 'Tariff options and costs document for all the information:

A new mobile number and device can be supplied and connected within five working days depending on purchase order approval and stock availability. Please refer to the product brochure and price list for device costs - which are as per the Standard list Price ‘U’.

SIM only contracts for using with laptops, tablets and iPads, or your own handset are also available.

Please note that we only have 14 days from delivery to change the number that is issued without incurring a termination penalty so, if you think you are going to want to use an existing non-contract mobile number with your new device, please see the 'Transferring to contract' information below before ordering and either submit the PAC code at the same time as placing the order or state that it is a hardware only device or in your request.

Transferring to contract

When purchasing a new device

If you want to use your existing (non-contract) mobile number with the new device and University contract you will need to obtain a PAC code from your existing provider and send it to us along with your order details or within 14 days of delivery if not done at point of order.
Once transferred, your number will be subject to the same commitment period as a new number would be.
Please note a cancellation fee may apply if still in contract.

If you want to use your existing (non-contract) mobile number with the new device but don’t want to transfer to the University contract you will need to purchase a hardware only device. This is however not recommended due to University procurement regulations. If you choose to continue you must read the following guidelines and give a valid reason at the time of order.

Without purchasing a new device

To transfer your existing number to the University contract only, you just need to obtain the PAC code from your existing provider and send it to us with your existing device details and a cost code for your ongoing charges before it expires.

Please note that a cancellation fee may apply if still in contract.
We will provide a new sim, if required, and arrange to transfer your number but you may need to ask your provider to get the handset unlocked if not currently with Vodafone.
