If you need to keep your computer on in order to work remotely, you can register for our 'WakeIT' service. WakeIT lets you wake up your computer remotely and put it to sleep when it is not in use.


  • Enables users with power management (powerman) enabled to remotely wake their staff desktop without the need to disable powerman


All members of University staff are eligible to use this service.

Service Level Agreement (SLA)

We aim to respond to service requests within one working day and to resolve your query/request within ten working days. If your request is considered to be a priority when triaged by our IT Support Centre, the response time will be adjusted accordingly.


This service is available 24/7 with an availability of 99.7%.

8am – 5pm, Monday to Friday.

Access to the services provided can be requested via the IT Support Centre:
