Hardware purchasing services

This service involves the purchase of all end user hardware for the University, whether it is standard or bespoke. University rules and regulations are adhered to and best value for money is attained while ensuring that any purchased equipment is compatible with the University’s environment.


  • Purchase of all end user hardware, including desktops, laptops, printers and tablets
  • Technical knowledge ensures that best value, fit for purpose computing equipment is purchased
  • Guidance through the ordering and delivery processes
  • Ensuring that sustainability and procurement rules and regulations are adhered to


All members of University staff and students are eligible to use this service, as are some bespoke users.

Service Level Agreement (SLA)

We aim to respond to service requests within one working day and to resolve your query/request within ten working days. If your request is considered to be a priority when triaged by our IT Support Centre, the response time will be adjusted accordingly.
