Bespoke image maintenance

This service encapsulates an alternative standard image on desktop research IT systems used for operating equipment and data capture.


  • Offers an image with an editable registry or different types of anti-virus to run PowerShell scripts etc on desktop research IT systems
  • Bespoke security settings
  • Alternative standard images housed on DAAD servers to allow rapid deployment or restoration of a desktop with alternative settings
  • Customisation for specific research hardware and software combinations
  • Alternate images may also be maintained for other versions of Windows or flavours of Linux and OSX


Members of the Field Support team, Research IT and DAAD staff are eligible to use this service.

Service Level Agreement (SLA)

We aim to respond to service requests within one working day and to resolve your query/request within ten working days. If your request is considered to be a priority when triaged by our IT Support Centre, the response time will be adjusted accordingly.


This service is available from 9am – 5pm, Monday to Friday.
