Virus scanning and removal

This service involves the scanning of hardware for viruses and the subsequent removal of any viruses which may be detected.


  • Support in performing virus scans, as well as the timely removal of any viruses from infected hardware
  • Prevention of the spread of viruses to further equipment and devices, including shared areas


All students and members of staff at the University are eligible to use this service.

Service Level Agreement (SLA)

We aim to respond to service requests within one working day and to resolve your query/request within ten working days. If your request is considered to be a priority when triaged by our IT Support Centre, the response time will be adjusted accordingly.


This service is available 9am – 5pm, Monday to Friday.
