Office 2007 is significantly different from Office 2003 in terms of the user interface and functionality. To ease the transition for end users, a number of bridging guides have been produced and, in addition, online training is now available through Checkpoint. From October, a range of classroom-based training will be offered. Office's own help system is significantly improved and can be accessed by pressing the function key F1. Please see the links on the right for access to training, documentation and other resources. Before installing Office 2007 users of the University's business systems and other desktop applications should consult the 'Dependencies' document (please see links on the right) to check if there are any known issues with using Office 2007. If in doubt, please contact your local IT support unit for advice. If you are upgrading from a previous version of Office that has 'Microsoft Outlook' configured for the University's email and calendaring system then you must update the Oracle connector prior to attempting the upgrade to Office 2007. Please see the link on the right for the latest Oracle connector. Please contact your local IT support unit for assistance with Outlook 2007 installation and configuration. |
