Installation Instructions for UNIX Clients
1) Copy the relevant tar.gz file along with the xferwan.ini, client.xml and kc_pub.pem files to a folder on the target computer.
2) Unpack the .tar.gz file using the gunzip and tar utilities. For example
- gunzip mpclient_hpux_parisc.tar.gz
- tar -xf mpclient_hpux_parisc.tar
3) In the newly created directory: mpclient_hpux_parisc:
- copy xferwan.ini, client.xml and kc_pub.pem files to mpcclient_hpux_parisc
- change into mpclient_hpux_parisc
4) Execute the deploy.sh script that was contained in the .tar.gz file. You will need to make sure the script file has the "execute" attribute. For example:
- chmod +x deploy.sh
Installation Instructions for OS X Clients
1) Copy mpclient_osx.tar.gz to a folder on the target computer.
2) Double-click mpclient_osx.tar.gz to extract its contents into a folder called mpclient_osx
3) Copy xferwan.ini , client.xml and kc_pub.pem into the mpclient_osx folder.
4) Execute the deploy.sh script within that folder. You will need to make sure that the script has the "execute" attribute. For example: - chmod +x deploy.sh
5) The files xferwan, cagent and disco need the execute attribute set. Use chmod to set the attribute. For example: chmod uog+x /usr/centennial/audit/agent
Note: When installing the OSX client the user needs to have root access authority.
